Learning Stations: Educate While You Trek
Khao Phra Thaeo's 13 learning stations are thoughtfully placed along the trail to spark your curiosity and deepen your understanding of forest dynamics. Each station offers captivating information and interactive activities, encouraging participation. For example, one station explains the role of insects in this vital ecosystem (see picture below).

The Importance of the Forest Ecosystem
The trail offers an incredible opportunity to explore Khao Phra Thaeo's diverse ecosystems. From the nutrient-rice soil to the streams that support all living things, including the beautiful ToneSai waterfall, a crucial water sauce for the forest, widlife, and people. Each station reveals the intricate web of life.
Interective displays allow you to observe, perharps spotting a monkey leaping through the trees, or birds and butterflies flitting by. You might see ants marching in long orderly lines, like traffic on a busy road, or fish swimming in the waterfall. And beyond what we can see, there are millions of ther species all around us.
This trek highlighted the interconnectedness of life within the forest. From the animals to the medicinal plants, everything plays a vital role in maintaining biodiversity. The forest provides us with clean air, regulates our temperature, and ultimately supports our well-being. Understanding this interdependence underscores the importance of forest conservation.

P.S. It's possible to hike alone. On this trip, despite having no prior trekking experience, I made it to the green line (though not the full path). I'm grateful to the friendly dog who guided me and "found" me in the forest when I wasn't sure which way to go.

Highlight
White backed palm (ปาล์มเจ้าเมืà¸à¸‡à¸–ลาง) planted here, one and only place. Water source at the waterfall—from the forrest to your home.
